General translation handles ordinary speech well and business terms badly, because the business sense diverges from the everyday sense of the same word: purchase order, lead time, backorder, minimum order quantity, net thirty, incoterms. A wrong rendering here is expensive rather than embarrassing.

Why the native tooling usually does not fit

Teams Interpreter excludes external guests and anonymous users, and needs Microsoft 365 Copilot. Suppliers are external by definition.
Google Meet supports one English-anchored language pair per meeting — so a call with a Chinese-speaking production team and your Spanish-speaking quality lead is outside it.
Zoom gives captions only, awkward for someone walking a factory floor.
